Description

IT Project ManagerContract Length: 12 months with the possibility of extending based on project need. Candidates should be local to Glen Allen, VA for onsite work.Hybrid Schedule – 4 days a week onsite, 1 day remote.General Description: The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering information technology projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role partners with business and IT stakeholders to ensure solutions align with organizational strategy, governance standards, and operational needs.Sourcing for an ERP [D365] application enhancement project. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead cross functional/department activities collaborating with all levels of the organization. The selected candidate will also coordinate third party vendor tasks too.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:Lead end-to-end management of IT projects including scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and dependenciesAdhere to and champion existing PMO methodologies and governanceDrive adherence to project goals, scope, success measures/criteria, etc. Plan, monitor, and report project progressCreate, maintain, and deliver critical project documentationLead the documentation of current and future state business processesLead business process improvement and issue resolution activitiesFacilitate project meetings and distribute meeting notesProvide accurate and timely project status reportsDocument and mitigate risks, issues, changes, and track action itemsConduct project reviews and create detailed reports for executive staffReport on project management KPIsCreate and maintain project plansCoordinate cross-functional teams including IT, business stakeholders, vendors, and external partnersManage vendor delivery, statements of work, milestones, and invoice approvalsLead solution acceptance, go-live readiness, and transition to operationsSupplemental Responsibilities:This job description reflects the general nature and scope of the position. Supplemental responsibilities will be assigned as needed based upon business need.Knowledge, Skills & Ability:Exceptional project management and time management skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentOutstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex, technical concepts into business or layman's termsExcellent leadership, interpersonal and organizational skillsAbility to address high-priority, quick turnaround requestsAbility to prioritize work and balance multiple priorities simultaneouslyAbility to think logically and troubleshoot issuesEffective analytical and problem-solving skillsAdept negotiation skillsAbility to balance the competing demands for quality, scope, schedule, and costEducation & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent hands-on experience 5 years of Project Management experienceExperience with MS 365 (e.g., Teams, Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)Experience collaborating with third party vendorsKnowledge of Waterfall and Agile project methodologiesPMP, CAPM or Scrum Master certifications are a plusPhysical Demands:Constantly required to sit and occasionally required to walk, stand, climb (includes stairs), balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk, hear, and smell. Constantly using hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, and computer keyboards. Routinely required to reach with hands and arms, squat, turn/twist, or reach, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.
