IT Sourcing and Category Manager
We are currently seeking candidates for an IT Sourcing and Category Manager position with a leading global financial services firm in Boston, MA. The IT Sourcing and Category Manager will lead complex negotiations involving software, cloud services, cybersecurity, and other technology vendors. The ideal candidate will have 8–10+ years of IT strategic sourcing experience and a strong record of delivering cost savings.

This is a 6-month contract position paying $74–$76/hour, depending on experience. This role is located in Boston, MA, and supports a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities:
• Lead negotiations for complex software, cloud, and technology agreements.
• Manage sourcing initiatives from initial scope through contract execution.
• Negotiate software licensing, cloud, and information security terms with Legal and IT stakeholders.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through contract renewals and supplier negotiations.
• Support high-value technology contract renewals.
• Coordinate RFx processes and competitive vendor evaluations.
• Review supplier pricing, contract terms, and commercial risk.
• Partner with business, technology, procurement, Legal, and Information Security teams.
• Ensure sourcing activity follows internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
• 8–10+ years of strategic sourcing or category management experience involving IT spend.
• Strong experience with software, cloud, cybersecurity, or infrastructure vendors.
• Proven ability to negotiate complex, high-value technology agreements.
• Track record of delivering measurable cost savings.
• Knowledge of procurement, third-party risk, information security, and contracting processes.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
