Job Description
Our client is seeking a motivated, dependable, and technically capable IT Specialist to support our daily technology operations and growing IT infrastructure.
This hands-on position will be responsible for providing technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining computers and network equipment, supporting business applications, and assisting with technology improvements throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in information technology, a few years of practical experience, and a strong willingness to learn. We are looking for someone who is resourceful, proactive, and comfortable working independently while continuing to develop their technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day IT support for employees, including troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and network connectivity.
* Install, configure, maintain, and replace computers, tablets, and other technology equipment.
* Support Microsoft 365, Windows environments, user accounts, and access permissions.
* Assist with network administration, system updates, security, backups, and general infrastructure maintenance.
* Provide technical support for ERP systems and other business applications.
* Support technology used in manufacturing operations, including shop-floor computers, tablets, and production systems.
* Manage employee technology onboarding and offboarding.
* Maintain IT equipment inventories, system documentation, and support records.
* Coordinate with outside technology vendors and service providers as needed.
* Assist with new technology implementations, system upgrades, and process improvements.
* Learn and support emerging technologies, including automation and AI-related initiatives.
Summary of Qualifications
Required
* Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Networking, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
* 2-4 years of hands-on IT support or related technical experience.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, computer hardware, and basic networking.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and follow through on technical issues.
* Excellent communication skills and patience when assisting employees with varying technical abilities.
* Strong willingness to learn new systems, technologies, and applications.
* Organized, dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments.
Preferred
* Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments.
* Familiarity with ERP software, particularly Epicor.
* Exposure to Windows Server, Microsoft Entra ID, network administration, or cybersecurity.
* Basic scripting or automation knowledge.
* CompTIA or Microsoft certifications.
* Interest in emerging technologies, AI, and industrial automation.
