Careerscape is supporting a client opening for a Remote Entry-Level IT Support Specialist. This role focuses on providing technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with system access, documenting support requests, and ensuring a smooth technology experience for end users.

The IT Support Specialist will work closely with internal teams to resolve technical issues, support computer systems, maintain IT documentation, and assist with onboarding new employees in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support via email, chat, and phone
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system issues
- Install, configure, and update software applications
- Assist with password resets and user account management
- Document support tickets and resolutions in the help desk system
- Escalate complex technical issues when necessary
- Support remote employees with technology setup and connectivity
- Maintain IT inventory and asset records
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding technology processes
- Create and update technical documentation and user guides
- Ensure timely resolution of support requests while maintaining excellent customer service
- Perform additional IT support and administrative duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
- 0–2 years of experience in IT support, customer service, technical support, or related roles
- Basic knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, and computer hardware
- Familiarity with ticketing systems is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
