IT Support Technician

BlueWave is hiring an IT Support Technician for a technology operations client in the Cape Canaveral, Florida area. As an IT Support Technician, you will manage IT inventory, provision computers and mobile devices, deploy workstations, and provide basic end-user support. This hands-on role emphasizes hardware logistics, asset accuracy, organization, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage the shipping and receiving of IT equipment.
• Receive, inspect, organize, package, and prepare hardware for shipment.
• Track incoming, outgoing, assigned, returned, and replacement IT assets.
• Maintain accurate inventory and asset-management records.
• Image and provision Windows laptops and desktops.
• Configure mobile devices for employee use.
• Prepare computers, mobile devices, and peripherals for deployment.
• Set up employee desks and complete workstations.
• Install monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, cables, and related equipment.
• Support employee onboarding and workplace technology deployments.
• Assist with office and site IT buildouts.
• Provide basic Level 1 walk-up support.
• Troubleshoot common computer, mobile-device, account, and peripheral issues.
• Document equipment requests and support work in ticketing systems.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate support teams.
• Maintain organized inventory and equipment-storage areas.

Requirements

• Two or more years of IT support, IT logistics, hardware deployment, or related experience.
• Experience shipping and receiving IT equipment.
• Experience managing hardware inventory and tracking assets.
• Experience imaging, provisioning, and configuring computers.
• Familiarity with mobile-device setup and configuration.
• Ability to set up complete employee workstations.
• Basic Windows hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with ticketing or asset-management systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage assigned inventory and deployment responsibilities.
• Experience with endpoint-management tools, directory services, hardware lifecycle management, or workplace IT buildouts preferred.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or a similar certification preferred but not required.

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire, onsite in the Cape Canaveral, Florida area; Monday through Friday within an 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. operating window, approximately 50 hours per week.
