This position applies knowledge of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and traffic/transit engineering to complete system planning, engineering analysis, and design as part of our ITS design group. In addition, the role involves the supervision of ITS design staff, client interaction, budget management, and marketing activities/project pursuits. The role also includes engineering support for construction, operation and maintenance of ITS/Traffic related projects and system deployments. They will lead design teams to produce design plans and engineering reports to accomplish project scopes and goals. Job Duties & Expectations
Scope of the Job
Education and Experience Requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Professional Engineering License, and 4+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has extensive experience with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the ITS or traffic operations field and experience with information and communication technologies, including fiber optic communication, vehicle detection, traveler information, power design, and traffic control systems. Other Skills Excellent technical writing, analytical and communication skills, including ability to present and articulate technical concepts verbally. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Outlook is required. Extensive experience with the use of other field equipment to complete job duties such the ability to access and understand technical materials.
