We are looking for an ITS/Traffic/TSM&O EI to join the Metric team! This position applies analysis and design of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Traffic Signals and Tolling Operations technology to support integration activities on transportation technology related project deployments. Transportation technology includes all equipment related to the ITS, Tolling Operations or the Traffic Signal Network. Equipment may include Layer 2 switches, network equipment, communication cables, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras, Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), Vehicle Detection Systems (VDS), Travel Time Systems (TTS), Wireless Access Points (WAP), Electronic Tolling Equipment (ETC), Toll Amount DMS (TADMS) and traffic signal controllers. These technologies may be deployed on government agency projects such as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Local County or City or Expressway Authorities. Job Duties & Expectations

Education, Experience and Qualifications Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area and 0-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the ITS, Traffic Signal and Tolling operations field and some exposure to information and communication technologies, including fiber optic communication, video systems engineering, traveler information, and traffic control systems Desired Experience
Other Skills Good technical writing, analytical and communication skills, including ability to present and articulate technical concepts verbally. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio and Outlook are desired. Familiarity or adaptability to learn software programs such as CADD (MicroStation and AutoCAD) and traffic analysis programs (Synchro, Tru-Traffic, and Vissim).
