Job Description

Job Title:Java Architect
Location: Chicago, IL(75001) — Within 50 Miles
Salary Range: $65/hr on W2 – $70/hr on W2
Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Java development, with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Distributed Systems

  • Strong experience in Java architecture, solution design, and technical leadership

  • Proven experience designing and implementing scalable, highly available, and resilient applications

  • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-native application architecture

  • Expertise in design patterns, system design, application architecture, and integration design

  • Experience designing and implementing REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise application integrations

  • Ability to define technical architecture, evaluate technology solutions, and make architecture-level decisions

  • Hands-on experience leading technical discussions, reviewing designs, mentoring developers, and ensuring coding standards

  • Strong understanding of performance optimization, scalability, security, and reliability in distributed systems

  • Must be able to provide concrete examples of systems personally architected and explain key design decisions, trade-offs, and implementation approaches

  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills
