Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Java Architect for a Contract with a client in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will lead the architecture and design of scalable, cloud-native Java solutions while driving engineering best practices across the SDLC.

Rate Range: $49/Hour to $60/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java Architect Responsibilities include:

• Define and lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance Java applications.

• Design and implement microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka.

• Drive cloud-native architecture and containerized deployments across AWS/Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes environments.

• Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and provide technical leadership to engineering teams.

• Establish and enforce engineering best practices, including CI/CD, DevSecOps, security, and performance standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy applications and deliver enterprise technology solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 6-8 years of experience in Java application development, architecture, and enterprise solution design.

• Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $60.00 per hour
