Java Developer (JC)

Job Title: Java Developer

Duration: 12-24 months

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey (must be willing to work onsite 3 days/wk)

Required Pay Scale: $60-65/hr w2

• Due to client requirements this role is only open to USC or GC candidates*

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong backend development skills and the ability to take initiative in a collaborative team environment. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on Java development experience who can contribute as a technical lead, help troubleshoot complex production issues, and work closely with cross-functional teams on modern API-driven applications.

Project Details:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE applications and RESTful APIs
• Build and support backend services using Spring Boot
• Collaborate with developers, business teams, and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and production issues
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices and technical direction
• Utilize GitHub Copilot and modern development tools to improve development efficiency
• Support application enhancements, performance improvements, and ongoing maintenance efforts

Must Haves

• 7+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and REST API development
• Experience working in collaborative Agile development environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to take ownership and demonstrate leadership initiative within a team setting
• Experience with GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools is a plus
