Introduction
We are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Developer to join our team for a 6-month contract. The role involves working closely with business analysts and users to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs. This position requires a strong background in Java development and a proven track record in delivering software applications.
Required Skills & Qualifications
8 years of experience in Java full stack development
2 years of experience with Kafka
Strong knowledge of Java 1.8
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming
Strong knowledge of web service models: SOAP, OData, REST
Strong knowledge of GIT and Apache Maven
Experience with Oracle and SQL Server as backend systems preferred
Knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery
Experience with 3rd party JavaScript libraries such as Angular JS, Knockout JS, jQuery UI, or similar preferred
Experience with TFS and Git preferred
Prior work experience at client or in client's industry
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Spring and Rest API
USAA experience preferred
Good communication skills
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Responsible for the analysis, design, development, and deployment of software applications
Work with business analysts and users to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs
Execute product specification, system design, development, and system integration
Develop new product concepts and deliver product prototypes
Conduct new technology research, concept specifications, and design of individual software components
Participate in product and program collaboration
Refactor implementations to standardize an event-driven architecture
Refactor web applications and services to be completely stateless and cloud-ready
Coordinate with offshore and USAA stakeholders
