Java Technical Lead

Mandatory required skills: Strong Python, advanced SQL, Snowflake, FastAPI. Kafka
Preferred/Desired skills: Java development, Spring, Springboot, Machine learning model.

Detailed Job Description

• Must be capable of understanding and solutioning for complex problems on software application development
• Able to produce MVP's of solutions based on concrete and vague requirements alike. Vague requirements are due to the newness of the space and are often the stepping stone to the more concrete solution and requirement.
• Teach and guide fellow engineers of all levels
• Able to clearly communicate well with engineers and leaders alike. Our GenAI space has high engagement from EMG's and leadership in general. I am not asking for masterful eloquence, but the candidate should be confident, measured, and know how to engage different audiences.

Skillset Needed:

• Strong Python development skills
• Intermediate to advanced data engineering skills.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL skills.
• Strong and efficient API development skills, especially with FastAPI.
• Advanced experience in application development – familiar with both analytical and operational type applications/systems.
• Generally masterful software developer – able to apply a range of industry common best practices to their development.
• Kafka
• Working knowledge of Snowflake
• In general, looking for a strong back-end developer.
• Experience with job automation such as Control-M, Airflow, etc.

Preferred additional skillsets:

• Java development
• Java API development
• Spring, Springboot
• Dbt (Data Build Tool)
• Javascript
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning engineering experience is nice to have, but not required.
• Machine learning model implementation via Python.
