Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Jet Maintenance Manager to oversee corporate aviation maintenance operations. The role ensures efficient hangar and ground operations, compliance with FAA regulations, and the security of aircraft while supporting business objectives. This position requires strategic leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and strong communication with clients and staff.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day jet maintenance operations, ensuring safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and communicate departmental goals aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Manage P&L, budget audits, and financial oversight for maintenance operations.
  • Oversee staffing, hiring, and training of maintenance personnel
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and Repair Station Manual specifications
  • Monitor and maintain aircraft maintenance tracking software (CAMP, Traxxall, Cescom, ATP)
  • Assist on the production floor as needed, including mechanical duties
  • Collaborate with business jet operators, management companies, and FAA personnel
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and safety protocols
 
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; further technical education preferred
  • 5–10 years of corporate aviation maintenance experience, including supervisory experience
  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant Certification required; Inspection Authorization Certification desired
  • Experience with Part 91 and Part 135 operators, business jets, and maintenance tracking software
 
Skills & Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of FARs and the ability to work with the FAA
  • Advanced hands-on experience with aviation maintenance manuals, tools, and equipment
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs and perform mechanical duties
  • Proficient in the MS Office suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
