Journeyman 1 - Multi-Craft Maint. Tech

UPMC Greenville is hiring a Journeyman Multi-Craft Maint. Tech to join the Facilities Team!

This Full-Time role will work Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm shifts with some travel to UPMC Horizon- Shenango Valley and maintenance outbuildings as needed. On call, weekend rotation (8:00 am to 4:30 pm Saturday and Sunday, and working off shifts and holidays would be required.

Final candidates will be selected for a job title within the career ladder that reflects level of education, experience and manager discretion at time of offer.

Journeyman 1- Multi-Craft Maint. Tech:

Salary range $25.97 to $45.04 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance work and tasks as directed with minimal supervision.
• Inspect electrical distribution systems, locate short circuits, loose connectors, worn motor brushes, etc.; inspect fire alarm system and provide first response to all fire alarms.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas.
• Maintain all written logs pertaining to shift responsibilities, i.e., med gas, equipment room rounds, etc.
• Maintain water chemistry and testing procedures on equipment and building systems.
• Operate and maintain a variety of building's direct digital control (DDC systems. Order materials as needed. Perform all work following infection control procedures.
• Perform minor carpentry and painting work.
• Record work orders and submit hours to supervisor on a daily basis.
• Minor repairs and maintaining of plumbing fixtures, piping systems, plumbing leaks (soldering, defective pipes and clogged drains.
• Safely and efficiently operate and maintain all mechanical systems, i.e., steam pressure heating systems, water systems, ventilation systems, refrigeration equipment, etc.; round mechanical equipment and machine rooms in all buildings as assigned.
• Performs required maintenance, repair and inspection of beds.
• Ability to perform snow removal activities and work in adverse weather conditions.
• *Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
• *Performs other duties as assigned.

Journeyman 2- Multi-Craft Maint. Tech:

Salary range $27.99 to $48.00per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance work and tasks as directed with minimal supervision.

Journeyman 1- Multi-Craft Maint. Tech:

• Completion of an Associate's Degree, a Two-year Mechanical or related Trade School program or an Apprenticeship in a Trade required.
• Also 4 years of general maintenance work experience working in a healthcare or commercial environment is required. Military experience considered.
• OR Completion of a high school diploma/GED and a Total of 8 years of general maintenance work experience working in a healthcare or commercial environment is required. Military experience considered.

Journeyman 2- Multi-Craft Maint. Tech:

• Completion of an Associate's Degree, a Two-year Mechanical or related Trade School program or an Apprenticeship in a Trade required.

• Also 7 years of general maintenance work experience working in a healthcare or commercial environment is required. Military experience considered.

• Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

Driver's License. Certifications in one or more specific trade is preferred - HVACR, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry.
