Core Responsibilities for Licensed Journeyman Electrician
- Install Systems: Set up wiring, lighting, circuit breaker panels, outlets, and switches in homes, offices, and factories.
- Troubleshoot Issues: Test circuits and equipment with specialized tools like multimeters to find and fix electrical problems.
- Read Blueprints: Follow technical diagrams and architectural plans to map out where wires and components go.
- Ensure Safety: Follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local safety regulations to prevent hazards.
- Supervise Apprentices: Guide and oversee entry-level workers on job sites.
