Journeyman Electrician
Power, lighting, and life-safety systems only count when they are installed clean, inspected once, and ready for occupancy. This role puts a licensed journeyman on active commercial work where layout, workmanship, and schedule decide whether a building opens safely. You will own assigned scopes from rough-in through energization and punchnot wait for someone else to define done.
Performance Objectives
- Install, terminate, and test branch circuits, feeders, and lighting so assigned systems energize without rework and pass inspection on the first submission.
- Read plans, risers, and specifications and lay out conduit, devices, and equipment so rough-in matches design and real field conditions.
- Find and correct faults before turnover, cutting callbacks and keeping electrical milestones on the look-ahead schedule.
- Direct apprentices on daily tasks so safety, productivity, and finish quality meet job standards.
- Apply NEC, OSHA, and site rules on every task, including lockout/tagout, with zero recordable incidents on your work.
- Coordinate with the general contractor, other trades, and inspectors so conflicts are resolved before they stop the crew.
- Deliver accurate as-builts, test results, and closeout documents so the owner can operate and maintain the systems.
