Responsibilities:
- Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.
- Design and optimize the arrangement of machinery and equipment within plant facilities to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Develop sequences of operations and specify procedures for the fabrication of tools, equipment, and other functions impacting product performance.
- Adapt machine and equipment designs to meet factory and production requirements.
- Incorporate inspection and testing requirements into manufacturing and production plans.
- Evaluate the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate manufacturing problems and implement corrective actions to address deficiencies and ensure product quality.
- Develop manufacturing processes applicable to Statistical Process Control (SPC) and support the implementation of statistical techniques.
- Provide engineering guidance on design concepts and specification requirements to optimize the use of equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensure manufacturing processes and procedures comply with applicable regulations, standards, and quality requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 0+ years of relevant experience; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production layouts, equipment, machining, and material handling.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment design, installation, and process optimization.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and basic statistical techniques is preferred.
- Ability to identify manufacturing issues, evaluate equipment performance, and support corrective actions.
- Understanding of quality requirements, inspection and testing processes, and applicable manufacturing regulations.
- Ability to interpret engineering concepts, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and other cross-functional teams.
