Junior Accountant Responsibilities

As the Junior Accountant, you will:

• 
  
• Prepare journal entries, bank transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations
• 
  
• Support the monthly close process, including accruals, prepaid expenses, deferred revenue, and allocations
• 
  
• Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
• 
  
• Maintain fixed asset records and monthly depreciation schedules
• 
  
• Support sales tax filings, 1099 reporting, and other compliance requirements
• 
  
• Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
• 
  
• Help improve accounting processes and ensure accurate financial reporting
• 
  

What We're Looking For

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 
  
• 1–3 years of accounting experience
• 
  
• Recent experience using NetSuite
• 
  
• Experience supporting month-end close and account reconciliations
• 
  
• Working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
• 
  
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• 
  
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational and communication skills
• 
  
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
•
