What You'll Do as the Junior Accountant

• 
  

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger

  
  
• 
  

• Complete balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations

  
  
• 
  

• Assist with month-end close activities and deadlines

  
  
• 
  

• Research discrepancies and help ensure accounts are accurate and properly supported

  
  
• 
  

• Maintain accurate financial information within QuickBooks

  
  
• 
  

• Support accounting activities across multiple systems during an ongoing system transition

  
  
• 
  

• Prepare schedules, reports, and supporting accounting documentation

  
  
• 
  

• Assist with audit preparation and respond to documentation requests

  
  
• 
  

• Help maintain consistency and accuracy of financial data across accounting systems

  
  
• 
  

• Partner with the accounting team on additional projects and process improvements

What We're Looking For

• 
  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

  
  
• 
  

• 1–3+ years of accounting experience

  
  
• 
  

• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations

  
  
• 
  

• Experience with QuickBooks

  
  
• 
  

• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial data

  
  
• 
  

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  
  
• 
  

• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines

  
  
• 
  

• Eagerness to learn and continue developing technical accounting skills

  
  
• 
  

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or another ERP system is a plus, but not required
