Junior Accountant / Staff Auditor, Government

UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Junior Accountant (Audit) for a hybrid contract position in Flushing, NY. This is a 2-year, full-time contract (W2 hourly, 40 hours per week) on a client engagement, with on-site work in Flushing, NY and remote work as directed by the client's project manager. You will support government audits of consultant and expense contract payments in line with applicable municipal directives and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

SCOPE OF SERVICES:
- Review, analyze, and audit the processing of payment vouchers on consultant and expense contracts.
- Conduct site visits as needed.
- Provide findings and recommendations to the client's audit staff.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or Finance.
- Preferred: at least six (6) months of City or State financial auditing experience.
