Overview Junior Accountant (Startup Environment) – Charleston, SCAbout UsZero Industrial is a fast-growing startup in Charleston, SC, building next-gen energy solutions. We're looking for a part-time Junior Accountant who's ready to roll up their sleeves, learn quickly, and make an impact. This is a hands-on role where you'll work directly with our VP of Finance & Accounting, manage daily accounting tasks, and help us leverage modern tools (including AI) to work smarter.What You'll Do Process invoices, schedule and track payments, and manage vendor relationships.Prepare and post journal entries in QuickBooks Online.Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations (including Ramp transactions).Track and manage contract renewals, terminations, and compliance dates.Generate financial reports to help guide decision-making.Explore and implement tech and AI tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.What We're Looking For 2–3 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience (startup or small business a plus).Strong QuickBooks Online skills (or similar software).Detail-oriented with accurate reconciliations and clean record-keeping.Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.A problem-solver who embraces new tools and technology.Professional, trustworthy communicator.Details Location: In-person, Charleston, SC (Industrious office building)Hours & Schedule: Hourly, part-time to start (2–3 days/week, 16–24 hours/week) with potential to grow into a larger roleCompensation: Competitive hourly rate, based on experienceExcited to dive in and help build the financial foundation of a fast-growing startup?
