We are seeking a motivated Junior Backend Engineer to support the development and maintenance of scalable backend services and data-driven applications. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers to design, build, test, and optimize RESTful APIs and backend components while contributing to data processing workflows using Databricks and SQL/Python. You will gain hands-on experience in microservices architecture, cloud environments, and modern DevOps practices while helping troubleshoot production issues and improve system performance. This position is ideal for early-career engineers looking to strengthen their expertise in Java, Python, data processing, and cloud-based backend development within an Agile team environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

Backend Development & API Engineering  Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and Python 
Contribute to microservices architecture, testing, debugging, and performance optimization 
Troubleshoot backend and API issues in development and production environments 

  
Data Processing & Database Management Build and support data processing workflows using Databricks notebooks (SQL / Python) 
Write, optimize, and maintain complex PostgreSQL queries and data models 
Diagnose and resolve data-related issues to ensure accuracy and performance 

  
Cloud, DevOps & Team Collaboration Work within Azure or AWS cloud environments and follow CI/CD best practices 
Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with senior engineers on design and delivery 
Communicate effectively to support cross-functional problem solving and production support
