Role DescriptionWiser is looking for qualified candidates with an understanding of geographic information systems (GIS). Wiser will provide training on the software, GIS, and source materials needed to complete the work. Technicians work as a team to collect, maintain, analyze, and interpret geographic information as needed for our clients. ResponsibilitiesPerforms Production efforts to include feature data, terrain, or cartographic work effortsTasks include extraction, adjustment, or representation to meet specification or requirements of our customersResponsible to complete accurate and timely work efforts using all forms of imagery (ex-satellite, aerial, etc.), raster datasets, vector datasets, and tabular datasetsFollows project specific guidance and communicates when problems arisePunctual to all work schedules and performs job assignment in a timely and efficient mannerFollows company policies and protocols. Minimum QualificationsU.S. CitizenSolid understanding of ArcGIS or GIS software (ArcMap/ArcPro)Workspace which is suitable for remote work performance and concentrationMust supply own equipment: laptop/PC, 2 monitors, keyboard, mouse, high speed internetAbility to self-lead using customer guidanceAbility to meet production deadlines with minimal errorsAbility to communicate with a diverse team of peopleExposure to remote sensing (ERDAS Imagine) preferredPrevious Land and Ground Cover (Janus Geography, VISNAV, IWLSISS, and/or SoilScape) preferred Work EnvironmentWork is performed remotely, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week (8 hours per day).
