Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a global law firm, for a Junior Paralegal to join their team in a fully remote capacity. Day to day, you will juggle document review, legal research, and case file organization while staying closely coordinated with attorneys and senior paralegals across time zones. Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents
Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other databases
Organize and maintain electronic case files and document management systems
Prepare correspondence, memoranda, and case summaries
Assist with discovery, including document collection and review
Track filing deadlines and court dates using case management software
Coordinate with clients, courts, and outside vendors as needed
Support trial and deposition preparation
Cite-check briefs and other legal filings
Perform administrative tasks to support the legal team
Requirements
Paralegal certificate or associate degree in paralegal studies preferred
Bachelor's degree a plus but not required
Up to 1-2 years of paralegal or legal support experience
Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems
Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
