Junior Staff Accountant (Events & Operations)This is an hourly, non-exempt role.Job SummaryWe are conducting a search on behalf of a client to identify a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Staff Accountant to support accounting operations across event-driven projects. This role plays a key part in managing financial transactions, supporting month-end close, and ensuring accurate financial reporting for multiple engagements.The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys working cross-functionally, and can balance multiple priorities effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesManage financial disbursements including wires, cash requests, and payments related to project or event settlementsReview and reconcile financial settlements immediately following project completionPrepare project/event profit & loss (P&L) statements and related journal entriesMonitor financial reports for accuracy and reasonablenessEnsure timely closure and reconciliation of projects within established timelinesTrack and process receivables, payables, and collections to ensure accuracy and timelinessMaintain general ledger (G/L) activity for assigned projectsPrepare and maintain balance sheet accounts and reconciliationsPrepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close processAssist with financial reporting, audits, and ad hoc projects as neededQualificationsAssociate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)3–5 years of relevant accounting or finance experienceStrong organizational, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExperience with project-based or operational accounting preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (advanced Excel strongly preferred)Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle or similar) is a plusProject management experience is a plusWork Environment & ExpectationsAbility to work in dynamic, high-energy environments when requiredWillingness to travel occasionally for project or on-site supportFlexibility to work extended hours, including evenings or weekends during peak periods such as month-end closeStrong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and follow through on multiple deadlinesPositive communication style and ability to collaborate across teams#J-18808-Ljbffr
