Junior Supply Chain Engineer

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Junior Supply Chain Engineer to support supply chain operations, supplier coordination, project tracking, and performance reporting across aerospace and defense programs. This role is ideal for candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience who are looking to build a strong foundation in supply chain management, project coordination, and manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, customers, procurement teams, and program stakeholders to ensure timely execution of supply chain activities and accurate reporting of project performance.
Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Coordination & Project Support:

• Support daily supply chain execution and delivery assurance activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers, procurement teams, buyers, and customer stakeholders to obtain critical project information.
• Monitor supplier commitments, production schedules, delivery plans, and recovery actions.
• Track and follow up on risks, issues, constraints, and escalation items to ensure timely resolution.
• Assist project leaders and program managers with administrative and execution-related activities.

Data Management & Reporting:

• Maintain project trackers, supplier databases, action-item logs, and delivery status records.
• Ensure all project information is accurate, complete, and updated according to reporting requirements.
• Audit data for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and work with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Consolidate information from multiple sources into standardized reports and dashboards.
• Maintain project documentation and records in compliance with customer requirements.

KPI Monitoring & Analysis:

• Prepare and maintain KPI dashboards and performance reports.
• Track key metrics such as on-time delivery, supplier performance, open commitments, recovery plan status, quality performance, and action-item closure rates.
• Analyze trends and identify potential risks related to schedule, capacity, and delivery performance.
• Support weekly and monthly project review meetings through accurate reporting and analysis.

Customer & Supplier Engagement:

• Serve as a communication link between customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Facilitate status meetings and document action items for follow-up and closure.
• Provide timely updates to stakeholders regarding project progress and supplier performance.
• Escalate critical concerns to project leadership when required.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data accuracy, and operational visibility.
• Support process improvement initiatives and standardization efforts.
• Assist with dashboard enhancements and KPI automation activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Operations, or a related technical discipline.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, operations, or project coordination.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Aerospace industry experience preferred.
• Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Familiarity with Power BI, SharePoint, KPI reporting, and dashboard development.
• Understanding of supply chain operations, supplier management, procurement, and production planning.
