Junior Varsity Baseball Coach

Lansing Catholic High School is seeking a Junior Varsity Baseball Head Coach for the spring 2027 season.  This position reports to the Athletic Director and the Varsity Baseball Coach.

 

 

Lansing Catholic High School is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic individual to serve as the Junior Varsity Baseball Head Coach. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field while supporting the mission and values of Lansing Catholic High School. Our athletic programs are rooted in Faith, Service, Excellence, and Tradition, with an emphasis on developing young people of character, integrity, leadership, and faith. We believe athletics provides an opportunity to build meaningful relationships, teach life lessons, and help student-athletes grow into the best versions of themselves.

 

 

• Plan, organize, and conduct effective practices that emphasize skill development, fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Develop student-athletes in preparation for future participation at the varsity level.
• Collaborate with the Varsity Baseball Head Coach to ensure alignment in program philosophy, expectations, and player development.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture that reflects the mission of Lansing Catholic High School.
• Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating integrity, accountability, respect, and servant leadership.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with student-athletes, parents, fellow coaches, and athletic administration.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, travel, and team activities.
• Follow all Lansing Catholic High School, Diocese of Lansing, and Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) policies and regulations.
• Support the academic, personal, spiritual, and athletic development of all student-athletes.
• Assist with program-wide activities, offseason development opportunities, and other responsibilities as assigned.

 

 

• Previous baseball coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, or competitive youth level.
• Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, rules, strategies, and player development.
• Ability to motivate, teach, and connect with high school student-athletes.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Commitment to educational-based athletics and the mission of Catholic education.
• Willingness to collaborate with the varsity coaching staff and athletic department.
• Ability to complete all required background checks, certifications, and school-mandated training.

Our coaches are educators, mentors, and leaders who play an important role in shaping the lives of young people.
