JV2 High School Boys Basketball Coach

Position Summary

Lead and support student-athletes through skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and academic responsibility while promoting a positive culture within Cadott Athletics.

Essential Responsibilities

• Plan and lead organized practices that teach age-appropriate skills, strategies, and safe participation.

• Establish clear expectations for attendance, effort, behavior, and teamwork.

• Supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, travel, and team activities.

• Follow district safety procedures, report injuries and concerns, and follow athletic training guidance.

• Support academic success, eligibility expectations, leadership, and character development.

• Communicate schedules, expectations, and updates through district-approved platforms.

• Maintain equipment, uniforms, rosters, and required records.

• Work collaboratively with coaches, staff, families, and the Athletic Director.

• Follow district and athletic association requirements and complete required training.

• Perform additional duties appropriate to the coaching assignment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the sport and ability to teach student-athletes of varying skill levels.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Commitment to student safety, academic success, and positive sportsmanship.

• Completion of required screening, certifications, and training.

• Previous coaching experience preferred.
