About the Role:
Pet Vet Animal Clinic & Mobile Practice, Ltd in Huntley, IL is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Kennel Attendant to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity for an animal lover who thrives in a fast-paced veterinary environment and wants to make a real difference in the lives of pets and their owners.



Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care for boarded animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising
• Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, and common areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
• Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff
• Handle and restrain animals safely and humanely during routine care
• Assist veterinary and technical staff with basic animal handling as needed
• Maintain accurate records of animal feeding schedules, medications, and observations
• Provide compassionate interaction and enrichment activities for boarded pets

Requirements:

• Genuine love and passion for animals of all breeds and sizes
• Ability to safely handle and restrain dogs, cats, and other animals
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow care instructions precisely
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and holidays as needed
• Previous kennel, veterinary, or animal care experience is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
