Position Details

Role: Kennel Attendant

Status: Full-Time (30-38 hours per week)

Salary: Based on experience and skill set

Schedule: Flexible schedule, 30-38 hours per week. Rotating AM/PM Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays shifts are required.

What You'll Do

• Provide daily care for boarding and daycare pets, including feeding, watering, walking, giving medications, and monitoring their well-being
• Watch for changes in appetite, behavior, or health and report them to the veterinary team
• Give basic grooming care, including baths, nail trims, and brushing
• Clean, sanitize, and restock kennels, boarding areas, the hospital, and the grounds
• Sweep, mop, take out trash, and launder bedding and linens
• Greet clients warmly and communicate professionally with clients and coworkers
• Juggle multiple tasks in a busy, fast-paced setting as a Kennel Attendant who keeps every guest comfortable

What You'll Bring

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred
• Animal-handling or veterinary experience is preferred but not required; we're happy to train the right Kennel Attendant
• Open availability for a flexible schedule, including required Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays
• Ability to work 30-38 hours per week
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stay on your feet during your shift
• Comfort working around animal odors and noise
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
