American Vanguard's AMGUARD Environmental Technologies ("AMGUARD") specialty and professional solutions business unit has an opportunity for an experienced sales professional to manage and grow Golf and Turf solutions sales in the US. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the golf and turf industry and demonstrate the ability to build trusted relationships with golf course superintendents, sports turf managers, and other key end users. This individual must be skilled at creating demand through technical expertise, product education, field demonstrations, and consultative selling while working collaboratively with distribution partners to execute effective pull-through sales strategies. The ideal candidate understands agronomic practices, seasonal purchasing cycles, and the unique challenges facing golf course management, allowing them to identify opportunities, influence product selection, and deliver sustainable sales growth. Success in this role requires a strategic, relationship-driven approach, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to effectively partner with customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives. Key Responsibilities:

• Leverage commercial key account management experience, technical knowledge, communication, and relationship skills to gain distributor support and end-user adoption of AMGUARD products in target markets
• Build and maintain long-term distribution end-user customer relationships
• Be an effective cross-functional collaborator with Marketing and Technical teams
• Implement national AMGUARD sales and marketing programs
• Collaborate with management and marketing to implement account specific marketing initiatives
• Identify and develop emerging segments for the AMGUARD portfolio with target accounts
• Communicate industry trends and competitive market influences
• Assist Technical Development team with in-field research, label expansion, and product development initiatives
• Coordinate technical product training for key distribution customers
• Effectively manage and prioritize time and travel
• Assess inventory and market dynamics in order to structure high value deals with key distribution partners
• Professionally interact with industry, media, market influencers, and technology partners in a professional manner
• Work in an engaged team environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

We are looking for an industry leader with:

• 10+ years of experience in the US Golf and Turf with at least 5 years working with major distributors in a Key Account Management role or similar position
• Have strong distributor relationships with distribution decision makers already established from prior industry history
• Experience creating industry-relevant strategic key account plans and executing them
• Ability to guide territory managers to align end-use customer pull through efforts with distribution initiatives
• Strong sales ability and negotiation skills with a history of growing distribution sales volume
• Excellent financial acumen with the ability to communicate effectively with management and key accounts on a financial basis
• Proven history of consistently exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
• An entrepreneurial, agile, creative mindset that thrives in entrepreneurial and high-growth commercial environments
• Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills
• Business acumen and must be customer focused
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
• Strong Power Point, Excel, and Word skills
• Ability to travel overnight up to 50% of the time
• Pass background check and have clean driving record

Job Location: Must live and be centrally located in the Territory to be able to readily service customers in the United States with easy access to a major airport.
