Position Summary
The Key Holder is responsible for supporting store management in the daily operation of the sporting goods store. This role serves as a leader on duty during assigned shifts, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining merchandising standards, supporting sales goals, and performing opening and closing procedures. The Key Holder helps create a positive shopping experience while promoting a team-oriented culture. Key Holders commonly oversee store opening and closing procedures, assist customers, support staff, and help maintain store security and operations.
Job Responsibilities
Open and close the store according to company policies and procedures.
Perform cash handling functions, register reconciliation, and deposit preparation.
Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers in selecting sporting goods, apparel, footwear, and outdoor equipment.
Lead and motivate associates during assigned shifts.
Support achievement of store sales goals and key performance metrics.
Assist with merchandising, visual displays, and promotional setups.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shopping environment.
Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, stock replenishment, and receiving shipments.
Handle customer concerns, returns, and escalated service issues professionally.
