OBJECTIVE:
This position requires that the individual be proficient in design and have an attention to detail. The sales staff of this company is a critical position that will require someone with the ability to multitask and keep a pleasant and professional attitude at all time. This position is a full time Kitchen and Bath Designer position within our retail or outside sales departments. Must be computer proficient with the desire to learn 20/20 Design software program. The right person will enjoy working not only with the public but other designers and trades people. Individual must be able to work independently and assist other team members. The right candidate must be able to correctly manually transfer data from one source to an excel spreadsheet. The individual will be able to read, evaluate, and verify, to assure accuracy, documents such as prints, requisitions, purchase orders, and catalogs for creation of sales orders, info sheets, calc. install sheets, lot order forms, pull prints when necessary, follow the organizational flow of documentation as prescribed; follow all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to company safety policies. Preform other duties as assigned by department manager or supervisor
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet and assist customers promptly and professionally when they enter the showroom
Understand/ Interpret Blueprints and Drawings
Work closely with clients to design kitchens and bathrooms
Process all estimates, orders and invoices in a correct and timely fashion
Coordinate any stock material needs or special orders with the appropriate buyers/vendors
Provide complete and accurate paper work for ordering and receiving special orders
Communicate clearly with the dispatcher and provide complete and correct paperwork for all deliveries, will calls and credit pickups
Follow through with all appropriate coworkers and vendors with credit returns if special orders are involved
Getting deposits on all cash special orders (minimum 50%)
Confirming with accounts receivable that a charge account is in good standing before placing a special order
Keeping a system that can be followed in your absence with your fellow specialists
Adhere to relevant health/safety and company policies and procedures
Treat coworkers professionally
Answer the phone promptly and professionally
Get confirmations on special orders and ensure correct product is ordered
Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality and personal appearance
Keep current on all daily reports including special order returns, delivery and PO dates, missing deposits and OK to fills
Continue expanding product knowledge of Kitchen and Bath fixtures
Give input on development of new items and/or vendors
Follow through with addressing any problems promptly
Provide excellent customer service
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sit/stand for 8 hours per day
Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. occasionally
Must be able to push/pull 50 lbs.
Horizontal reaching is required
All mobility motions are required (standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing)
Limited range of motion and physical activity occurring randomly for 8 or more hours per day
