Kitchen Assistant/ production

Nesco Resource is seeking kitchen assistants for our client in Lake Orion that produces a Michigan snack mix brand sold regionally in independent grocers. Our recipes started with our founder's grandmother. We need steady hands to help package products and ship orders.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 30-40 hours a week. Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour, based on SERV Safe Food Handler certification status and experience.

What you need:

· SERV Safe Food Handler preferred, or earn it within 14 days of starting

· Food service or warehouse experience preferred, not required

· Basic math skills and close attention to detail

· Ability to follow packaging, food safety, and shipping procedures

· Accurate, steady, and on time

· Able to stand for up to 6-8 hours with regular bending, reaching, and twisting

· Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. repeatedly

What you'll do:

· Package and seal snack mix to recipe and weight specs

· Label, case, and stage finished product

· Pick, pack, and ship online and wholesale orders accurately

· Follow quality control and food safety steps, including gloves and hairnets

· Receive and stock supplies and ingredients

· Load and unload cases and materials

· Keep the workspace clean, organized, and food-safe

· Track counts, support inventory, and flag low supplies
