Summary:

Attains sales and gross profit objectives for kitchen and bath and all other associated product categories with contractor and walk in retail accounts by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Sells and services established contractor, retail, and/or commercial accounts.
  • Seeks to create a "business partnership" relationship with accounts
  • Recommends product, productivity, and service efficiencies to cultivate account relationships.
  • Works closely with Outside Sales Representatives when servicing their accounts
  • Provides customers with designs, bids or quotes and material estimates for various materials packages
  • Maintains limited pricing flexibility within the guidelines established by the Location Manager
  • Improves sales volume and gross profit margins
  • Sources and orders kitchen cabinet and other special-order products for personal and other Salesperson's accounts.
  • Assists walk-in customers.
  • Ensures that cabinet orders are properly received and tagged. Follows up on any misordered or damaged merchandise.
  • Responsible for reconciling any open special orders for kitchen or bath cabinets and other merchandise.
  • Assists in securing information regarding creditworthiness of accounts.
  • Coordinates the timely delivery of materials for orders placed by accounts.
  • Informs Location Manager of material and service needs of customers as well as various competitive price levels in the marketplace.
  • Develops recommendations for sales promotions and other means to attract new customers.
  • Provides center management with necessary plans, reports, and account data as requested.
  • Occasionally is required to visit jobsites to verify measurements or discuss cabinet placement and options with customers
  • Maintains the cleanliness and order of the showroom and displays.

  • PC literate; strong working knowledge of a computer-based cabinet design software package (20/20 preferred).
  • Formal training in cabinet design or applicable work experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Exceptional influence skills: comfortable in working at various levels throughout the organization
  • Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Moderate degree of analytical skill, reasoning ability, critical thinking
  • Working knowledge of materials and associated estimating techniques.
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of mathematical requirements involved in pricing and estimating to include, but not limited to mark-up, gross margin calculation, square footage and area calculation perimeter, etc.
  • High energy; makes early impact; high integrity
