Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Hood Cleaning Technician and become a vital part of maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant commercial kitchen environments! In this role, you will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning and inspecting kitchen exhaust hoods, ducts, and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards. Your expertise will help prevent fire hazards, improve air quality, and uphold industry regulations. Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning of kitchen exhaust hoods, filters, ducts, and fans using specialized tools and cleaning agents
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear, damage, or potential fire hazards; document findings accurately
• Disassemble and reassemble ventilation components following safety protocols and schematics
• Identify opportunities for equipment repair or maintenance to enhance system efficiency
• Adhere to all safety standards, including OSHA regulations, during cleaning procedures
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients about work progress and safety concerns
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, cleaning schedules, and repairs for compliance purposes

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams
• Experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration), or service technician roles
• Familiarity with HVAC systems preferred.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
• Construction or maintenance background is a plus for understanding building systems
• Leadership qualities to coordinate team efforts and ensure high-quality service delivery
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying potential issues before they escalate

Servicing all of Florida keys.  Most nights local in Key West.   Applicants with passport will have opportunity for work trips to caribbean.


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
