This position will play an important role in preparing, packing, transporting, and delivering CACFP dinner meals to our afterschool sites, while also providing additional support with daily kitchen and cafeteria operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Dinner Meal Preparation & Packing Assist with the preparation of daily dinner meals for our afterschool programs. Follow standardized recipes, portion sizes, menus, and meal production requirements.Prepare, portion, package, label, and organize meals for delivery. Ensure meals contain the required meal components and appropriate portions.Follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene procedures. Maintain proper hot and cold food temperatures during preparation and packing.Complete production records, temperature logs, meal counts, and other required documentation as assigned. Properly store, date, and rotate food and supplies.Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food preparation area.Meal Delivery to Afterschool Sites Safely transport prepared dinner meals to designated afterschool sites. Load and secure meals and equipment for transportation.Maintain appropriate food temperatures during transportation and delivery. Deliver meals according to established schedules and site procedures. Communicate with site staff regarding meal deliveries, meal counts, special instructions, and any concerns.Assist with returning food service equipment, containers, and supplies to the kitchen.Maintain cleanliness of the delivery vehicle and food transportation equipment.Follow all applicable food safety and transportation procedures. Kitchen & Cafeteria Support: Provide additional support with breakfast and lunch meal service if neededSupport cafeteria setup, meal service, cleanup, and breakdown as needed.Assist with salad bar setup, monitoring, replenishment, and cleanup as needed.Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing food and supplies Job Qualification Required:Reliable and dependable attendance. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work in a fast-paced food service environment. Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull food, equipment, and supplies. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to maintain a clean and professional work environment. Ability to communicate respectfully with students, staff, and coworkers. Ability to obtain and maintain any required food handler certification. Preferred: Previous experience in school food service, restaurant, catering, childcare food service, or institutional food service. Experience preparing and portioning meals for large groups. Experience with food delivery or route delivery. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
