Hallo!
We are Wild West Ferments, a fermented foods company established in 2010, with a brick and mortar picnic/pantry shop dedicated to food preservation and traditional foodways. We have a newly launched prepared foods program, too - all in one epic location!
Our organic lunch counter at West Marin Culture Shop is looking to hire a Kitchen Operations Manager. We create and serve farm-to-table to-go lunches Thursday-Monday in a dynamic space that includes a cheese counter, probiotic soda fountain, fermented vegetable production space, wine shop, and more! Join our team of passionate foodies at the best lunch spot in town!
West Marin Culture Shop, our brick and mortar project (which houses the lunch counter/cafe this position is for) doesn't yet have its own web presence. It is a project of our company Wild West Ferments, which you can check out here https://www.wildwestferments.com/
And on IG.
POSITION BASICS:
Running the lunch counter program in coordination with the owners and management of the retail shop and the wholesale production department. We are looking for someone who can run with the program as it is now, and can also help identify and implement systems to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Right now, it is more an Operations position than a chef position. But for sure cooking, recipe development and menu curation are all also in the mix! Our cafe has been running for 8 months now, and is mostly through our first busy summer season. We have a solid menu and a great line cook who knows the ropes. We're looking for a manager who can step in to keep it going and make improvements while working closely with us, the owners of the business. There is great room for growth, creativity, collaboration, learning, and fun. We're a great team of folks doing work that we are passionate about.
Hours: We are open Thursday - Monday 11-4 or 5. This is the preferred schedule for this position. But for the right person we can wiggle things around a bit to make it work.
Position could be part-time or full-time please let us know your availability and preferred schedule. Wage is dependent on experience but will range between $27-$31 per hour plus tips.
TASKS INCLUDE:

No task is beneath you. We are a small team and we all do the dishes, take out the trash, etc. Cleaning every part of the kitchen will be a regular part of your day
