Kitchen Receiver & Stewarding Lead

Position Summary

Responsible for receiving, inspecting, stocking, and organizing deliveries while maintaining consistent storage locations, accurate inventory, and clean, organized kitchen storage areas. Supports daily dishroom operations and assists with kitchen tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and verify deliveries against purchase orders and invoices.
• Inspect products for quality, damage, temperature, and quantity discrepancies.
• Immediately report shortages, damaged products, and delivery issues to culinary leadership.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs of coolers, freezers, and dry storage to maintain organization, proper labeling, dating, and FIFO rotation.
• Establish consistent storage locations in coordination with chefs and kitchen leads.
• Stock deliveries promptly and maintain clean, accessible storage areas.
• Assist with inventory counts, accurate data entry, and inventory documentation.
• Maintain receiving and inventory records.
• Coordinate dishroom operations, cleanliness, sanitation, and proper storage of clean equipment.
• Monitor dishroom supplies and report shortages or equipment concerns.
• Work closely with chefs and kitchen leads to maintain consistent operating standards.
• During downtime, assist with food preparation, dishwashing, and other kitchen duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Computer literate with basic data-entry and inventory-system skills.
• Strong organizational, communication, and counting skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and product rotation preferred.
• Able to lift and move deliveries and work in refrigerated storage areas.

Maintain accurate receiving and inventory records, organized storage areas, proper product rotation, timely reporting of discrepancies, and consistent dishroom sanitation.
