We are looking for an energetic, cooperative and detail-oriented individual to join our kitchen culinary team! The ideal Kitchen Steward works well with others and is highly dependable, as well as takes pride in maintaining cleanliness standards and being able to manage high-pressure situations to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Position Summary: The Kitchen Steward plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment to support efficient food service operations. This position is responsible for dishwashing, sanitation, waste removal, and assisting with basic kitchen support tasks while adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
This is a great entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in the food and beverage or hospitality industry, offering exposure to kitchen operations and the chance to grow within a supportive team environment.
Status Type & Pay: This is a Full-Time position and is eligible to participate in all our fantastic benefits offered to non-exempt hourly team members.
Scheduling: This position requires flexibility to work any day of the week, both morning and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays. Typical schedule will include 2 Morning shifts, and 3 Evening shifts, and will change weekly based on business demands.
Specifically, as the banquet captain your primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Supportive Functions: The hotel functions seven (7) days a week and twenty-four (24) hours per day. Due to the seasonal nature and business hours of a hotel, candidates must realize it may be necessary to move an employee from their accustomed shift to meet business demands. All associates are expected to perform any other duties as requested by management to support other departments and/or operational requirements.
