Adecco is assisting a local client in recruiting for a Kitchen Support position in Lake Placid, NY. This is a direct hire opportunity with a team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour
Schedule: Friday - Tuesday, 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Position Overview
The Kitchen Support team member assists in all aspects of food service operations, including food preparation, dishwashing, stocking, cleaning, and service support. This role works closely with kitchen leadership to ensure high-quality food service, cleanliness, safety, and an outstanding dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including produce prep and salad bar setup.
• Support meal service by working food stations, including grill and omelet stations.
• Serve food and provide excellent customer service.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature logging procedures.
• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, cookware, utensils, and serving equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen, dish room, dining areas, coolers, and storage spaces.
• Sweep, mop, and sanitize work areas at the end of each shift.
• Remove trash and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Assist with special events and hospitality functions as needed.
• Participate in daily team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Report maintenance issues, equipment concerns, and workplace incidents promptly.
• Support and train new team members on proper procedures and equipment use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen or food service environment preferred.
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safe kitchen practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and understand measurements.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance when necessary.
• Exposure to hot and cold temperatures common in commercial kitchen environments.
• Use of kitchen equipment, cleaning chemicals, and food service tools.
• Flexible and team-oriented attitude.
