Job description:Knowledge Management Specialist

Constellation seeks a Knowledge Management Specialist to join our Homeland Security team in Washington, DC. This role serves as a trusted advisor to senior federal leadership. This role will anticipate client needs, drive project workstreams, and deliver polished executive deliverables in a fast-paced and changing environment. The Specialist supports agency leadership in various workforce knowledge management efforts such as lunch and learns, SharePoint file repository management to support organizational knowledge sharing and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit recorded training videos and produce transcripts using Camtasia and Microsoft Stream.
• Compile reports, edit transcripts, and maintain accurate records to support knowledge sharing.
• Draft position descriptions, policies, SOPs, decision trees, and process workflows.
• Maintain SharePoint sites, ensuring secure file management and up-to-date content.
• Manage communication channels and distribution lists for efficient information sharing.
• Collaborate across teams to support projects and administrative initiatives.
• Facilitate client meetings, capture technical notes, and document lessons learned.
• Develop and maintain tracking tools, executive presentations, and communication materials using Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe InDesign.
• Create project timelines, track dependencies, and support project execution.
• Develop organizational communication products, including executive briefs, handbooks, training decks, and one-pagers.
• Conduct skills gap analyses and support workforce succession planning with senior leadership.
• Support data governance, taxonomy, and document management standards across digital platforms.

The ideal candidate must have the following experience, background, and credentials:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of four years proven experience as a government consultant or support contractor collecting, analyzing, preparing, and presenting data to senior government leadership.
• Minimum of two years’ experience with tools such as Adobe In-Design, Camtasia, Microsoft Stream, etc.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and for our client, understanding their needs and work in a fast paced dynamic environment
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and SharePoint.
• U.S. citizen able to pass a background investigation by the client agency. DHS clearance with CBP, or DoD Top-Secret preferred.
