Job Description

Location: Hanover, PA
Shift: Night Shift | 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour schedule | 3 days one week, 4 days the next week
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $22–$27/hr or higher based on skill level
Additional Pay: 8% night shift premium + 12-hour shift premium
Overtime: Available

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Machine Operator / Offset Press Operator to support high-speed press production in a fast-paced print manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining offset press equipment to ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and according to customer specifications.

This is a strong opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude, production experience, and a commitment to quality. Prior printing press experience is helpful, especially with Komori or offset press equipment, but candidates with strong machine operation experience may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain offset press equipment to meet production and quality standards
• Run and monitor high-speed press equipment throughout the production process
• Review job jackets and production requirements to ensure customer specifications are followed
• Communicate job details clearly with press helpers and production team members
• Lead press helpers during production and downtime to maintain workflow and quality output
• Monitor color, registration, stock specifications, and overall print quality throughout each run
• Make adjustments as needed to maintain consistency and accuracy
• Identify and correct visual defects during production
• Perform routine inspections and basic preventive maintenance on press equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical or quality-related issues as they arise
• Follow all safety, housekeeping, and production procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Preferred Experience

• Experience operating offset press equipment preferred
• Komori press experience is a plus
• Prior experience in print manufacturing, production, or machine operation helpful
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and quality issues
• Ability to read and follow job jackets, production instructions, and customer specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work well in a team-based production environment
• Reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working 12-hour night shifts

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic math skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work a rotating night shift schedule

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has experience in print manufacturing, offset press operation, or high-speed machine operation. Someone with Komori press experience would be a strong fit, but the company may also consider candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, production experience, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and quality issues in a fast-paced environment.
