Lab Design Associate

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a ­­­­­­­­Lab Design Associate for a prominent client of ours. This position is 100% remote. Details for the position are as follows:

Contract: 1 year with possible extension and/or conversion
100% remote, may require up to 10% overnight travel across the U.S.

Job Description:

• Prepares 2D/3D designs and construction plans for standalone, analytics-only laboratory solutions.
• Supports the development of the laboratory design throughout multiple phases to ensure the successful implementation of the proposed solution.
• Creates basic 3D visualization and digital images to promote the sales opportunity and support marketing needs.
• Transforms Matterport digital twin (BIM files or Point clouds) into formats used throughout the non-automation, solution design lifecycle.
• Produces detailed concept designs, phasing plans, and construction drawings using 2D/3D CAD software for non-automated solutions.
• Develops 3D models, renderings, and basic visualizations of laboratory designs using Revit, Enscape, Twinmotion or Unreal Engine.
• Collaborate on designs with internal and external customers for modifications and final approval.
• Documents and maintains change requests for concept designs, phasing plans and construction drawings for non-automation solutions.
• Provides accurate technical specifications and install dimensions to engineers, architects, and facilities team.
• Manages multiple projects and tasks to meet the turnaround time demands of the assignment.

Qualifications:

• 1 - 3 years experience with Revit, BIM and other CAD-related software
• Completion of an Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Design Technology, Interior Design or comparable
