Job Title: Core Technician 2

Pay Rate: $25/hr
Work Schedule: Day Shift, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM; 12-hour rotating shifts (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off)
Location: 14905 Kirby Drive, Houston, TX 77047
Training Requirement: Must be available to train on first shift, 5 days per week, for the first 4–6 weeks.
Contract: 12mos

Position Summary
The Core Technician is a scientist role responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the production of sterile biological pharmaceutical products. Most of the work is done in a cleanroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with all applicable safety policies, rules, and regulations.
• Help ensure that all team members comply with safety rules and regulations.
• Support the maintenance of quality systems and cGMP compliance by ensuring that team members follow applicable processes, procedures, and instructions for assigned activities.
• Perform procedures according to written guidelines and recognize deviations from accepted practices.
• Work in a cleanroom environment while following required gowning and protective-equipment procedures.
• Clearly assign objectives, establish and monitor progress, coordinate resources, and manage competing priorities.
• Provide clear direction, lead others as needed and help team members perform effectively.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience.
• Education/Experience: A bachelor's degree in Life Sciences is preferred. Candidates with a bachelor's degree and basic laboratory experience, or a high school diploma and intermediate laboratory experience in a cGMP clinical production environment, may be considered.
• Laboratory Experience: Lab experience is preferred.

Cleanroom Requirements
While working in the cleanroom, required attire includes scrubs, a hairnet, shoe covers, hood, gown, mask, boots, and two pairs of gloves.
 
Additional Information
This position supports the production of sterile biological pharmaceutical products and requires attention to safety, quality systems, written procedures, and cGMP compliance.

Drug Test Requirements
Drug screening panels depend on the work location:

• Vacaville, CA; Hayward, CA; or Rockland, ME: Phencyclidine (PCP), Cocaine, Amphetamines, and Opiates.
• All other locations: Phencyclidine (PCP), Cocaine, Amphetamines, Opiates, Marijuana, and 6-acetyl morphine.
