Job Overview

Seeking a Quality Lab Technician II to support scientists, engineers, and technicians with quality control, product development, and analytical laboratory testing. The role involves sample preparation, testing, documentation, equipment operation, and continuous improvement in an ISO 17025-regulated laboratory environment.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform sample registration, labeling, traceability, and storage.
  • Prepare samples using: Trim saws and automated mills, Mounting media, Grinding and polishing equipment, Surface etching using acids
  • Use microscopes for dimensional measurements and surface evaluation.
  • Set up, operate, clean, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
  • Follow test methods and accurately document test protocols and results in real time.
  • Review, authorize, and report laboratory results.
  • Create and revise laboratory procedures and documents.
  • Support engineers and scientists with equipment and process qualifications.
  • Prepare chemical solutions and maintain laboratory consumable inventory.
  • Participate in or lead continuous improvement projects.
  • Perform routine laboratory procedures, reactions, calculations, and data collection.
  • Maintain laboratory supplies, equipment, and glassware.
  • Follow company procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of related technical experience in areas such as: Metallurgical, Electronic,
  • Mechanical, Related technical disciplines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced laboratory.
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to accurately document information in real time.
  • Ability to follow established test methods and procedures.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work in a high-throughput laboratory. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-year technical degree in Metallurgical, Electronic, Mechanical, or related field.
  • Laboratory experience.
  • Experience documenting experiments in a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems).
  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement tools.
  • Understanding of: ISO 17025, cGMP, FDA requirements, ICH requirements
