Job Title: Lab Technician III
Duration : 6 Months
Location : San Diego CA

Shift: 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM (Night Shift)

Job Summary

Under close supervision, the Production Support Technician performs production support activities to help meet manufacturing goals while following established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates currently pursuing a degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field and looking to gain hands-on laboratory and manufacturing experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform production support functions in accordance with GMP guidelines.
  • Execute moderately complex laboratory and production procedures following established protocols.
  • Assist in meeting daily production goals and quality objectives.
  • Operate laboratory equipment and use laboratory chemicals and tools safely.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and laboratory notes.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Adhere to safety policies and proper handling procedures for laboratory materials, including potentially biohazardous materials.
  • Support manufacturing operations while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure production objectives are met.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing an Associate's (AA/AS) or Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree in:
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Biochemistry
    • Biotechnology
    • Microbiology
    • Life Sciences
    • Or a related scientific discipline
  • Laboratory coursework required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of laboratory or manufacturing experience.
  • Hands-on experience operating laboratory equipment and performing laboratory techniques.
  • Knowledge of GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with Quality System Regulations (QSR), ISO standards, ISO 13485, and CMDR.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems.
