Lab Technician
Location: 2452 Clover Basin Drive, Longmont, CO 80503
Pay: $38 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shift
Work Arrangement: 100% onsite
Job Summary
A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Lab Technician in Longmont, CO. This role supports SSD hardware bring-up, firmware validation readiness, and daily engineering lab operations. The Lab Technician will configure and maintain hardware systems, troubleshoot technical issues, manage inventory, and ensure lab equipment is ready to support engineering and validation projects.
This hands-on position works closely with firmware, validation, platform, facilities, IT, and operations teams to maintain reliable lab environments and meet project schedules. Remote or hybrid work is not available.

- Support SSD hardware bring-up, configuration, validation readiness, and ongoing maintenance.
- Build, configure, modify, and maintain NVMe/PCIe SSD test systems, hosts, debug systems, and lab infrastructure.
- Execute test plans, manual procedures, pre-flight checks, and system validation steps.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, firmware, connectivity, power, and system configuration issues.
- Collect and summarize diagnostic data, logs, failure observations, and debugging information.
- Manage lab inventory, asset tracking, hardware reuse, check-in/check-out processes, and equipment availability.
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, movement, and tracking of hardware components.
- Collaborate with engineering, validation, facilities, IT, and operations teams to support project schedules.
- Assist with lab planning, including rack allocation, space, power, equipment readiness, and scalability.
- Communicate project status, risks, blockers, and dependencies to relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings and cross-functional discussions.
- Identify opportunities to improve lab efficiency through automation, scripting, documentation, and standardized processes.
- Support lab repair workflows, issue tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining PC- or server-based hardware systems.
- Experience with NVMe/PCIe SSD hardware, storage platforms, or system-level test environments.
- Ability to execute test plans, follow written procedures, and accurately document results.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, firmware, connectivity, and system setup issues.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux command-line environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for inventory tracking, reporting, and data organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently using technical documentation and established procedures.
- Ability to perform hands-on, repetitive, detail-oriented lab activities consistently and accurately.
- Ability to work onsite in a technical engineering lab environment.
