Our Client, a Paint Manufacturing company, is looking for a Lab Technician for their Minneapolis, MN location.
Responsibilities:- Performs laboratory tests or other laboratory work using conventional and computerized machines and work aids.
- Performs laboratory work and tests according to prescribed standards.
- Determines chemical and physical characteristics or composition.
- Sets up, readjusts, and operates laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Usual requirement is two years of post secondary education in field of specialty; however, some companies may accept equivalent education and experience combined.
Requirements:- Accurately recording results and observations related to batch making, sample preparation, and panel testing
- Making paint samples using equipment
- Spraying or applying coatings to small test panels
- Measuring properties of wet paint samples and coated panels
- Assisting in application lab with more complex application techniques
- Communicating information to the project leader
- Follows work instructions and test methods
- Routine paperwork for ordering chemical samples, formula samples, etc.
- Maintaining chemical inventories
