Position details

• Austin State Hospital Lab Department, 4110 Guadalupe, Austin, TX
• 1 opening, 7 AM-1 PM
• 2 non-consecutive training days (Day 1 and Day 6), 8-5
• Minimum 3-6 months with option to extend; max 40 hrs/week

What you'll do

• Perform venipuncture and lab specimen collection
• Work with inpatients in mental health units
• Follow Texas lab technician rules and HHSC/facility policies

Requirements

• 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Current certifications
• Pass facility background check, immunization and COVID clearance, and facility training
